UMRR Platform

UMRR-09xx Universal Medium Range Radar:
This sensor generation is able to measure range, speed and angle of multiple objects simultaneously. It provides a hardware (antenna) and software selectable field of view, true object separation capability in range and Doppler, unrestricted operation when stationary or when moving at any speed. It has a small size, three different housings are available. Stand-alone or network operation is possible.

The latest generation 09xx is extremely robust, operates under all wheather conditions and in a temperature interval from -40°C to +85°C.

The UMRR was designed to be a versatile platform sensor. A set of different antennae are available, allowing you to select your desired field of view. The detection software can be configured to meet most requirements regarding min. and max. range, min. and max. speed, measurement time.

You may be interested in buying the platform product off-the-shelf, but it is also possible to prepare a highly specialized, fully customized derivative development.

Example configuration for short range applications:

  • Range up to 90m.
  • Min. range 0.9m (no relative motion target to sensor, presence detection < 0.9m is provided).
  • Min. range 0.5m (relative motion target to sensor).
  • Sensor operates at speeds up to 250km/h (ego vehicle speed).
  • Angle interval: see icon.
  • Size: 9.5 x 8.5 x 3.1 cm (W x H x D).
  • Weight: 300g (Al body).

Example configuration for long range applications:

  • Range up to 240m.
  • Min. range 0.9m (no relative motion target to sensor, presence detection < 0.9m is provided).
  • Min. range 0.5m (relative motion target to sensor).
  • Speed interval from -500km/h (closing) to +250km/h (opening).
  • Angle interval ±20° (Azimuth) x ±4.5° (Elevation).
  • Cycle time 40ms.
  • Size: 11.0 x 9.9 x 3.1 cm (W x H x D).
  • Weight: 400g (Al body).
