The Drive Recorder II software is a powerful tool for visualization, monitoring, recording and playback of CAN bus data and video. It is designed to receive object lists from radar or other types of sensors. Drive Recorder II comes with a free user-programmable CAN-specification. This allows for the interpretation of CAN bus data of any kind. Usually multi target range and speed sensors "pack" their data in an object list using a certain coding on the CAN bus. Every sensor manufacturer uses its own way to "pack" those object lists. The Drive Recorder II software is able to interpret them all, up to 16 different sensors at a time. Furthermore, a digital video can be recorded synchronously with the data messages from multiple CAN buses. All recordings can also be played back to the CAN bus. 
NEW: DriveRecorder can now also connect to all smartmicro sensors through Ethernet and RS-232 (or RS-485 with 232-485 adaptor). If smartmicro products with those approriate interfaces are used, no special CAN interface card is required any more. The digital video (mpeg stream input via USB2.0) is always kept synchronous to the CAN data. You may then play it live on your computer screen (see picture above) together with the CAN data. The software runs on all standard windows platforms and uses off-the-shelf components (see below).
